L2 Team Leader Assessment

The criteria to become a level 2 leader.

Candidate met these requirements:

be a current level 1 team leader
have a minimum of level 3 personal skills
Rsr 2 completed

Candidate passed these competency based assessments:

Awareness of club rules.
Ability to lead a group safely and in a positive manner.
Ability to locate and fill in the checklist and carry out equipment checks before a paddle.
Awareness of hazards in the area.
Perform rescue of an unconscious paddler. (Unconscious rescue)
Perform rescue of swamped boat assisted (X-Rescue)
Perform rescue of swamped boat un assisted.
Tow an empty boat.
Assist an injured paddler to the bank in their boat.
Perform a self rescue in deep water, for example roll using paddle or hands. If the boat is exited empty the boat and re-enter unassisted and continue leader responsibility.
